Frank Phuan – Founder CEO, Managing Partner
Mr Frank Phuan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Equator Renewables Asia.
A pioneer in the renewable energy sector, Mr Phuan was the co-founder and CEO of Sunseap Group, one of Asia’s leading clean energy solutions providers. Under his leadership, Sunseap grew into a major regional platform with operations across Southeast Asia, and was subsequently acquired by EDP Renewables in 2022.
With over two decades of experience, Mr Phuan has played a key role in shaping the clean energy landscape in Asia through innovative business models and large-scale renewable infrastructure projects. He founded Equator Renewables Asia to continue accelerating energy transition in the region, with a focus on cross-border electricity trade, utility-scale solar, energy storage, and green hydrogen development.
He holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and is widely recognized for his contributions to sustainable energy in the region.
