Shawn Tan – Project, Senior Partner
Shawn is a seasoned renewable energy development professional with over 18 years of experience leading renewable energy projects across Southeast Asia. Before joining Equator as Senior Partner Project Development, Shawn held leadership roles at Sunseap Group followed by EDPR after the acquisition in 2022. With a proven track record in originating, structuring, and executing distributed solar and complex utility-scale projects, he specialise in bridging the gap between local market dynamics and global investment strategies, delivering bankable and sustainable energy solutions.
Throughout his career, Shawn have successfully led projects in Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines, driving them from greenfield development through financial close and into construction. His expertise lies in structuring complex project developments, navigating regulatory landscapes, and forging strategic partnerships with investors, technology providers, and government stakeholders and a focus on aligning projects with national strategic priorities and ESG principles.
